Aurora Sere-Schneider is Vice President for IT Engineering Applications at AUMOVIO. She leads a global IT organization of over 300 people that delivers and operates the engineering applications used by ~55,000 users worldwide, who rely on a broad portfolio of IT services across all engineering disciplines.

With more than 25 years of experience spanning R&D, systems engineering, and digital transformation, Aurora has built international teams and driven cross-portfolio innovation programs in safe mobility, smart infrastructure, and high-performance computing.

Two career milestones that are especially close to her heart — and that have left a lasting impact on AUMOVIO — are the establishment of an engineering hub in Romania for one of the company’s automotive business units, transforming it from a greenfield site into a fully mature organization with end-to-end project responsibility and direct customer engagement; and the founding of the Vehicle Systems Architecture department, introducing Automotive Ethernet as a key enabling technology in the vehicle, and developing a long-term vehicle architecture roadmap that shaped AUMOVIO’s product portfolio, based on cross-domain systems engineering approach.

Transitioning from business into IT, almost three years ago, was a natural step that extended her professional experience, bridging R&D and IT expertise to deliver an innovative IT service portfolio in a seamless toolchain.
